Scope of This Policy

This policy applies to the MotorBenz website and to any form, quote request or message submitted through it. It explains what information is gathered, why it is needed, who it may be shared with and what choices are available at any point.

Using the site indicates agreement with the practices described here. Where local law grants stronger rights than those set out below, the stronger protection applies.

Information Collected Directly

Certain details are only known because they are typed into a form. Nothing in this group is gathered silently.

• Name, email address and phone number entered on a signup or contact form
• Vehicle details such as make, model, general condition and how the car is used
• Driver details relevant to a quote, including licence status and claim history
• The content of any message, question or wording sent in for review
• Account credentials created when an account is opened

Information Collected Automatically

Standard technical details are recorded as pages load, which is normal for any website and helps keep the service reliable and secure.

• Browser type, device type, operating system and screen dimensions
• Internet protocol address and a general region derived from it
• Pages visited, referring links and the time spent on the site
• Error reports and diagnostic records generated by the site

MotorBenz sends two kinds of text messages, each with its own separate opt-in on the account signup form. Service messages cover quote confirmations, policy and renewal reminders, coverage update alerts and replies to questions you send. Marketing messages cover MotorBenz auto policy offers, renewal discounts and coverage add-on promotions.

Consent to either message type is optional and is not a condition of opening an account, requesting a quote or purchasing a policy. Message frequency varies, and message and data rates set by your mobile carrier may apply.

Reply STOP to any MotorBenz text message to cancel. One final message confirms that you have been unsubscribed, and nothing further is sent unless you opt in again. Reply HELP to any MotorBenz text message for assistance.

MotorBenz will not share your mobile number or SMS opt-in consent with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes.

When Information Is Shared

Information is shared only where it is needed to deliver what was requested, and never for another party to market on its own account.

• Insurance carriers and underwriters handling a submitted quote request
• Service providers supplying hosting, email delivery, messaging or analytics, who act only on MotorBenz instructions and may not use details for their own purposes
• Professional advisers bound by confidentiality obligations
• Authorities where disclosure is required by law or valid legal process
• A successor entity in the event of a merger, acquisition or asset transfer

No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. All of the categories above exclude text messaging originator opt-in data and consent; this information will not be shared with any third parties.

Data Retention

Details are kept only while there is a reason to hold them, such as an open quote request, an active account or a legal record keeping duty. Once that reason ends, records are deleted or reduced to a form that no longer identifies anyone.

Security Measures

Transmission is protected with encryption, access to stored records is restricted to those who need it, and systems are reviewed for weaknesses on a regular basis. No method of transmission or storage can be described as perfectly secure, so submissions are made with that understood.

Your Rights and Choices

• Request a copy of the personal information held about you
• Ask for inaccurate or incomplete details to be corrected
• Request deletion where no legal duty requires the record to be kept
• Withdraw consent for marketing or service messages at any time
• Object to certain processing or ask that it be restricted
• Request a portable copy of details you supplied

Requests are answered within the period set by applicable law. Verification of identity may be needed before a request is acted on.

Children's Privacy

The site is intended for adults aged eighteen or older. Information is not knowingly gathered from anyone below that age. If such information is discovered, it is removed promptly.
